Oceanic Garbage Patches Infographic: Project Brief
Project Description:

Create a graphically appealing 30” x 40" Sized poster with a dynamic message. Must highlight the major worldwide oceanic garbage gyres. West Pacific, East Pacific, South Pacific, North Atlantic, South Atlantic and Indian Ocean. Should detail ocean currents and the countries the wast originated. Then detail the ways that land waste makes it to our oceans.
Should explain the effect photodegradable plastic products are having on marine life.

Sender:

A designer wanting to draw attention to the problem our wast is having on our oceans. 

Message:

Oceanic Garbage Patches are a problem for everyone. Humans can and should reduce the amount of land waste that is deposited in our oceans.

Audience:

People who want to be made aware of the problems created in our oceans by waste. 

Purpose/objectives:

Create a poster that makes people more aware Oceanic Garbage and its effects on the environment.

Specifications:

•  Must be informative, statistical and engaging.
•  Size- 30” x 40", full color.
•  To be hung in WSU Union Bridge Gallery
